The maximum gauge/batten spacing for the Redland 50 Double Roman tile depends on whether your tile is a through coloured tile or granular.

For the through coloured tiles, the maximum gauge is 318mm for roofs below 22.5° and 343mm for roofs 22.5° and above. For granular coloured tiles, the maximum gauge remains the same, but the angle changes so that it is 318mm for roofs below 30° and 343mm for roofs 30° and above.

What is the cost per metre of Red Rosemary roof tiles?

The roof tiles prices per square metre depends on the size of the order and the roof on which the tiles will be laid. For most pitched roofs, you would use 60 Rosemary tiles per square metre, giving you a basic cost of £51.60/metre squared (excluding delivery).

What is the lifespan of the Rosemary tile?

Clay tiles like the Redland Rosemary tile have an incredibly long life and will last well past a generation.  Whereas a concrete tile has a lifespan of approximately 30-40 years, a clay tile will last 40-50 years or more.

The main problem for clay tiles is wear as the front edge of the tile gets worn down to a sharper edge and the tile themselves become more prone to leakage from both capillary action and breakages. Where a tile does get damaged, it will absorb moisture and become prone to further damage from the expansion/contraction of the water in temperature variations.

The longest lasting roofs are often slate and natural slate roofs can have a guarantee of 60-75 years. Unless they receive physical damage, slate roofs can last almost indefinitely.

How many Rosemary tiles er metre squared

Below 90 degrees, Rosemary tiles should be laid at 60 tiles/m² and at 90 degrees (where the tiles are used on a vertical section of the roof) they can be laid at 52 tiles/m². This is due to the increased overlap that you need for lower pitched roof to retain the excellent weather protection of the Rosemary Tiles.

What is the minimum and maximum pitch for Rosemary tiles?

Rosemary tiles can be used on roofs with a minimum pitch of 35º up to a maximum pitch of 90º

What is the Rosemary roof tile gauge?

What is the price of Redland Rosemary tiles per tile

Rosemary tiles weigh approximately 1.3kg each. This gives the tile a laid weight of 78kg/m² for roof pitches below 90º and 68kg/m² at 90º.

A pallet of 840 tiles weighs approximately 1.11 tonnes including the pallet itself.

What is the weight of the Thrutone concrete roof tile?

The Thrutone is not a concrete roof tile, it is a Fibre Cement Slate with a smooth finish and square-cut edges designed to give you the same wonderful look as a natural slate roof at a fraction of the cost.

The Thrutone Slate is a large 600 x 300mm (2ft x 1ft) and they weigh approximately 1.53kg each.

What price are flat roof tiles?

Flat Roof tiles prices per square metre is a question that we get asked a lot but when it gets typed, can have two entirely different answers.

If you are asking about tiles for flat roofs, Promenade tiles and slabs are ideal for that purpose, providing a strong and hard wearing surface to go over the top of your EPDM or GRP covered flat roof.  Promenade tiles start at £1.38 (ex VAT) each for the Diamond Cut, Checkerplate and Striated Tiles, rising to £1.63 (ex VAT) for the beautiful Castile Riven Effect Promenade Tile.

The thicker Promenade slabs are a little more expensive starting at £2.50 (ex VAT) each. From there you choice is almost endless, with various finishes and multiple colours. The top of the range is the luxurious Castle Porcelain Stoneware Promenade Tile which is available in 13 colours and costs £20.49 (ex VAT) each.

The alternative meaning for the question is the price of roof tiles that are flat (rather than having a profiled surface like the Marley Mendip, Landmark Double Pantile or Renown Tiles)

We stock a large range of plain tiles which range in price from £0.31 to £0.77 each. Volume discounts are available so please call our websales team on 0333 700 11 11 for the most accurate estimate.
